Prepaid Meter connections are currently available for all Low Tension (LT) Domestic and LT Commercial Consumers.

MSPDCL currently uses four types of meters. You can identify them based on the meter number:

  • Secure Meter (Old): 8-character meter numbers (e.g., M1P47228, M3P12398).
  • Secure Meter (New - Liberty 170): 10-character meter numbers (e.g., SS21340465).
  • Genus Meter: 6-digit meter numbers (e.g., 139071).
  • HPL Meter: 8-digit meter numbers (e.g., 20061922).

Your meter number can be located:

  1. On the meter box itself.
  2. On your recharge token or voucher code.

Use one of the following methods:

  1. Visit MSPDCL Billing Website, select your meter make, enter your meter number, and search.
  2. Refer to your previous recharge token or voucher code.

You can recharge your meter through:

  1. Nearest Vending Counters: Available at all Electricity Revenue Offices.
  2. Online Billing Website: https://billing.mspdcl.info.
    • Note: Recharge codes must be manually entered into your meter or Freedom Unit.

Retrieve it online by visiting Recharge History on the billing website.

Enter your Prepaid Connection ID and fetch the token.

 Wait for up to 7 business days for the refund to process automatically.

The connected load is printed on your voucher code.

Example: Connected Load (in KW): 4 KW.

Visit your Sub-Division Office and submit an application addressed to the Sub-Divisional Manager (SDM).

No, you must enter all old recharge tokens before entering the new upgrade code.

Submit an application to your Sub-Divisional Manager to transfer the recharge amount to your new meter number.

Unfortunately, MSPDCL cannot assist with such cases.

Check the display on your meter:

  • Secure Meters: Press #.
  • Genus Meters: Press #.
  • HPL Meters: Press 0 (Zero).

 Reduce the number of active appliances to decrease load.

Reset the overload alert:

    • Secure Meters: Press 0 (Zero).
    • Genus Meters: Press any key.
    • HPL Meters: Press # for 4 seconds.

"KB Lock" indicates multiple incorrect code entries. Wait 20 minutes, then re-enter the code carefully.

Visit the Recharge History section on the billing website and enter your Prepaid Connection ID.

File a complaint at your nearest Sub-Division Office or contact CCC via WhatsApp at the numbers provided above.

Yes, you must apply to your Sub-Division Office for connection transfer. The request is subject to approval.
